Rally Raise

About Rally Raise

About Rally Raise.

Your donors are your best fundraisers. We give them a branded page and a share link — and we keep the math honest while they do the work.

The details, by question

Who is Rally Raise for?

Rally Raise is for the ten-person nonprofit. The parish coordinator. The ED who writes the grants and the thank-you notes. The treasurer who still keeps a binder. We built it for orgs that don’t have a fundraising director and don’t want to sit through a sales call to find out the fee.

It’s a lean operation by design. No sales team. No enterprise tier. No quarterly roadmap pitched to investors. We ship what the people using the platform actually need.

Why we built it.

Existing fundraising platforms take too much. Some charge 15% or more by the time processing, platform, and “optional tips” are stacked on. Small orgs either pay that price or spend weeks building their own donation page from scratch.

We set out to do two things well: give every org a real donation page in about a minute, and get 94 cents of every dollar home.

How we stay lean.
  • A flat 3% platform fee, graduated down to 2% above $100,000 per year and 1% above $1,000,000. No tiers, no per-user seats, no contract minimums.
  • Shared infrastructure with the rest of the Fresh Food Connect toolkit — one codebase, one database, one on-call rotation. Overhead we don’t have to charge for.
  • No venture capital pressure. We pick roadmap items for mission fit, not for a quarterly growth curve.
Who’s behind it.

Rally Raise is powered by Fresh Food Connect — the nonprofit behind 55 food pantry partners in 20 states, connecting home gardeners with the pantries that feed their neighbors.

Tim Connors and Andy Downard built Fresh Food Connect to get fresh produce from backyard gardens into pantry hands. Rally Raise is the donation layer that same team built because the orgs they partnered with kept losing 10–15% of every gift to platforms that didn’t publish their real fees.

Kayla Birdsong

Chief Executive Officer, Fresh Food Connect & Rally Raise

Kayla leads Fresh Food Connect and Rally Raise, where she keeps the mission honest and the economics sustainable. She’s spent her career at the intersection of technology and hunger relief — building programs that have reached thousands of families across the US.

Rally Raise also shares infrastructure with a sibling workspace tool (Rally Tasks), which is one small reason the platform fee can sit at 3% instead of 8%. The trust lives with Fresh Food Connect and the team who answers your email.

What we value.
  • Human dignity. We don’t use stigmatizing language for the people orgs serve. No means-testing. No shame.
  • Subsidiarity. We strengthen existing orgs. We don’t replace them or compete with them for donor attention.
  • Mission over metrics. If a growth tactic erodes trust or dignity, we don’t ship it — even if the number would go up.
  • Revenue as infrastructure, not motive. We charge enough to keep the lights on. We don’t charge more than that.
